"Against The Tide"
The emotion strikes me,
As a giant wave,
It stretches my horizon,
There is no way to save.
I struggle against the current,
Lift my head and try to breathe.
I am pulled into the depths,
Where hope itself deceives.
Tossed by a force of nature,
Hopeless struggle against the tide.
Gasping for breath,
But there's nothing left inside.
