“If I Let Myself”
If I let myself,
I can fall back to then.
Way back before.
We can remember when.
When the sun so brilliant,
Simply shined its beauty.
When warm loving light,
Actually fell on me.
When there was rhythm in the beauty,
When roaring wind was just a breeze,
When those naked sticks,
Were really sleeping trees.
When the cracks in the concrete,
Could somehow be repaired.
Back when eyes could cry,
And hearts were everywhere.
If I let myself,
I can fall back to then.
Way back before.
We can remember when.

Special thanks to my Cousin Steve who let me use his photo. I love that picture.
