Alone

 

“Alone”

       

Once I walked inside hope,

You know inside everyone’s dream.

Where love is quenched,

And nobody screams.

  

But a bit later I had to wake up,

Realizing the tricks and the lies.

Alone in the showers,

No one to wipe the tears I cried.

  

Alone.

No evidence of the friendship or love I’d shown.

A house of many friends and love left me.

Alone.

  

I learned that every heart can lie,

That all love can become pain.

And no matter your hope,

It can drive you insane.
