A lot going on,

A big day tomorrow.

Lots of pent up feelings,

Overshadowed in sorrow.

    

Hate comes easy,

Anger follows more.

Red filled eyes swallow now,

In-lieu of what came before.

A Tear Evaporates

"A Tear Evaporates"

Against the pen.

Against the ink,

I've begun to think.

Perhaps I've worn out my welcome.

Worn out the paper.

Worn out the pen.

Perhaps the words,

I say,

Come again and again.

Eyes grow tired,

Just like souls.

In the stories always told.

The back grows tired,

So do the ears.

As I attempt to impart my fears.

A scream becomes a cry.

A cry becomes a tear.

A Tear evaporates.

Why should I fear?

BULLYING:

They should ask kids at school to volunteer to be "Defenders" if the "Defender" knows of or is a witness to bullying they would be tasked with notifying the proper people and possibly the parents.  They could offer a Stand Up award or something, that they could list on their resume.  I volunteered to be  a crossing guard in grade school and I took it very seriously.

Deceased

“Deceased”

  

I’m caught in between,

What’s morally right.

A difference between,

A dark and a light.

 

Is one right?

The other wrong.

When your body shouldn’t,

Feel strong.

 

But after the cannons,

Grow silent, cease.

Perhaps knowing only comes,

With deceased.

Unexpectedly

"Unexpectedly"

   

I crash down,

Onto my knees.

I struggle to realign,

Impossible realities.

  

I knew I was,

On a bridge destined broken.

Finding faith,

In words spoken.

  

A silent death, 

Followed immune regret.

Leaving haunted memories,

I could not forget.

  

It took a long time,

To get up and step passed.

Beyond a thing that was,

Forever to last.

  

Eventually I stood,

Began to regain my strong.

Began to focus where,

I might belong.

  

Then suddenly a voice,

Carried down from the blue.

Another impossibilty,

It was you.

  

An apology presented,

So unexpectedly.

Except now it seems,

Is all up to me.
