"Am I The Only One"

Have I past that point,

Of no return?

Destroying that,

Which most souls yearn.

  

I Looked on the child,

And gunned it down.

Pushed it into the water,

And watched it drown.

   

I let it wither,

I let it die.

Suffocated love,

Silenced its cries.

  

I silenced hope.

I silenced heart.

Stared unto the heavens,

And watched it depart.

   

I search for blood,

On weary hands.

Am I the only one,

Who understands?
