An Event Horizon

Photobucket

"An Event Horizon"

Endless ball of fire,
Powering soft warming light.
Timeless a soft gentle glow,
On everything in sight.

An infinite reaction,
As the tiniest of things collide.
Allowing the darkest of dark,
To come alive.

A brilliant radiance,
An entire world shines anew.
Hope and light endless,
Such warmth in you.

Then a hiding dark,
But just barely a spot.
Although you fight,
With all you've got.

An enormous collapse.
As it all folds in,
A fading eternity,
With no way to win.

A cascade reaction,
An event horizon.
As time stops,
You're realizing.

Fading light,
Once endless and timeless,

Endless and Timeless.
Words unused by the wise.

Since after light has faded,
Nothing survives.

These Things

Photobucket

"These Things"
~ ~ ~
Have you ever cried a tear
Upon the gentle breeze
Simply stared upon the stars
And felt your soul relieved
~
Watched firefly's flicker
Out on a moon lit night
Watched the morning sun rise
Till it becomes to bright
~
Have you ever rested on a tree
Or near a flowing stream
Watched moon light on water
And felt the glowing gleam
~
Sometimes the answers are there
If we only pause to see
These things simply are
As they were meant to be
.

What Do You Choose?

Photobucket

"What Do You Choose?"

The dealer's on his side.
You on yours.
Down to your last dollar.
What do you choose?

When I say last.
I mean very last.
The other dollars gambled away,
In a darkened past.

This last dollar,
It's enough to get you by.
Then again.
There are a lot of memories stuck to it,
That still make you cry.

Do you throw it on the table?
Just let it go?
But it's your very last dollar.
Somehow you just know.

The dealer's on his side.
You on yours.
Down to your last dollar.
What do you choose?

A Remembrance

Photobucket

"A Remembrance"

Forwards and backwards,
All at the same time,
How do I get abc,
And xyz to rhyme.

The doors are clearly labeled,
Exit and entrance.
Still I'm experiencing,
A remembrance.

Going and coming,
Coming and going.
I don't know,
What tomorrow is showing.

I guess in the end,
None of us do.
I just don't know what to think,
When I look at you.

Love

Photobucket

"Love"

Love.
I have grown,
To hate that word.
Too many promises,
I only thought,
I heard.

Love is beautiful and bitter,
Endlessly harsh and cold.
It is at the heart,
Of the saddest stories told.

So I stray from feeling,
Even saying it too much.
I've become too cold,
Caught in its icy clutch.

But you should not fear.
For if you do,
You will miss all of the people,
That are here for you.

A Simple Combination of Some Simple Words

“A Simple Combination of Some Simple Words”

Have you ever sat silent in the dark,
As pen hovers under merciless glare?
Where those demons haunt,
Lurking breathless under authors stare.

Have you ever juggled with the letters?
Toyed with the Yang or traced the Yin?
A word or two away from once upon a time,
Or do you remember when?

Have you ever blotted out the sun?
Cracked apart the moon?
Silenced the biggest bang?
Let the perfect moment come to soon?

Just one still birth in a manger,
From a starry to a starless night.
A simple combination of some simple words,
Any author depending on his mood might write.

I have sat quiet in the dark.
As pen hovered under my heartless glare.
Sometimes it is just too dark.
So I sit silently and stare.

Footprints In The Past

“Footprints In The Past”

A simple lapse in judgment,
A momentary pause.
And what is history,
Other than what was?

An etching of our travels,
A telling of the tales.
A history of the raft,
As the ore becomes the sail.

When voice was the story,
Now printed on the page.
And pages require covers,
As the book fills with age.

We first are still.
We learn to roll,
To crawl.
To walk,
Finally to run.

But only later do we learn,
Footprints in the past,
Cannot be undone.

And any time you travel,
You will pack your baggage for the trip.
Another step upon the mountain.
And hope that you won’t slip.
