“If I Told You”

    

If I told you my heart was shattered,

Would that be enough?

Would that make me weak,

Or tough?

  

If I said my eyes had cried,

Every ounce of tears?

Would that make me stronger,

Or weaker of my fears?

  

If I said I couldn't afford to hurt,

That much again.

If I lacked the strength to let,

It begin?

   

Would that make me wrong,

If I told you?

I just lack the strength,

To let it to be true.
