The trinket or the picture,
You know the one.
The one you keep on the back of the shelf.
After all is said and done.
  
Nostalgia it’s quick,
Sneaky and it can catch us all.
But it only catches,
After a fall.
  
A simple fall,
Of one sort or another.
Way back on the shelf,
Where the light might smother.
