The Day Your Music Died

The Day Your Music Died

So do you remember where you were,
The day your music died?
Just before the tear fell,
Just before you cried?

If you lips curled gently,
Ever so slight.
I know that you do,
And hate with all of your might.

Oh it's so easy,
Let bygones be bygones.
Because that can happen,
To anyone.

But it wasn't anyone.
Was it true?
Don't dare lessen its significance,
Just because it was you.

So do you remember where you were,
The day your music died?
Just before the tear fell,
Just before you cried?
